Our Back into Shape family is growing!
Our Back into Shape family is growing and we would like to introduce three new members of the family.
Zoe, who is a London-trained Osteopath with over 15 years experience, joined the Back into Shape family in September 2017 shortly after making Aliya with her family.
She specializes in treating the individual and not the symptom and, using a variety of treatment techniques, tailor-makes each treatment plan specifically for each patient. Although her particular specialty is cranial osteopathy, Zoe enjoys treating and interacting with patients from babyhood to old age, each with their own set of problems. She takes into account the patient's lifestyle and considers any external factors which may be impacting on him and impeding his recovery and return to good health. With her gentle, caring manner and wide smile, Zoe works with each patient using a combination of hands-on techniques that move, stretch and manipulate the body with the aim of aiding and restoring the patient to his optimal level of function.
Zoe holds degrees and diplomas in Osteopathy, Cranial Osteopathy, sports and remedial massage and advanced Thai massage. She is also certified to practice dry needling, K-taping and pediatric assessment.
Reina adds a new dimension to the Back into Shape team. She is both a reflexologist and podiatrist and brings to the Clinic her rich experience, having worked in some of London's major hospitals.
She has a specific interest in diabetic foot care and holds a post-graduate degree from the University of Warwick (UK) in diabetes.
Reina explains: "Reflexology has changed the way I look at the human foot. When a patient comes to see me, I no longer look at the painful area of their feet solely as an anatomical problem but also which reflex point it correlates to on the body. I find it incredible what the feet can tell us about our general health and, by incorporating my reflexology knowledge into treatments, I am able to give an overall holistic treatment".
The newest member of the Back into Shape family is Miriam Lipshitz, the IDD technician and clinic assistant. A South African qualified and experienced teacher by profession, she has wide ranging experience in research and writing and is actively involved in the Clinic's communication and media activities.
Along with a wealth of people skills, Miriam is attuned to listening carefully to patients. By nature a "people person", she is very aware of the importance of making a personal connection with each individual. This will ensure their comfort and confidence during therapy, which will in turn aid in their recovery.
Zoe, Reina and Miriam, together with the rest of the Back into Shape team, look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful Clinic. Together, we will make every effort to ensure that your return to good health is a positive experience.
